The lovely blue eyed Lady in this miniature painting is wearing the finest velvets of the period

and linen draped column come off into four separate pieces

and in the opposite corner is a symbol that is either a design or could be a signature

This piece has the makers mark of George Henckel & Co

with a couple stains and minor paint loss

Esq. miniatures The lovely blue eyed LadyThis is a wonderful Georgian era, 1820's Cartoon of a Gentleman with a "Splitting Headache". Below the title is written: "Oh my poor head!_ How it_ does_ throb!!" It is a hand colored engraving on paper in a period frame with spline construction, and early cut nails. The hook on the back might have originally been on the top, as was the style in that tine. Across the bottom of the illustration is written: Drawn by M. E. Esq. Published April 1827 by T.
